Daviss signs professional contract with women's team

Norwich City Women are delighted to announce that Millie Daviss has signed a professional contract with the club.

Norwich City Women are delighted to announce that Millie Daviss has signed a professional contract with the club.

The defender puts pen to paper in her 10th season with the club having joined the Canaries during the 2016/17 season.

Daviss led the team to Norfolk County Cup victories in 2021 and 2023, during her stint as captain for four seasons.

She also picked up the club's 2022/23 PFA Community Champion award for her contributions off the pitch in and around the community.

"It feels amazing, I think I've worked very hard to make this happen and it feels like a bit of a reward." she said.

"I think it's a great opportunity that the club is able to give now and It's just a really great moment for me and my family; I'm just over the moon.

"I've been a fan ever since I was five years old; I was born into a family that supports the club, so, I've been going to watch them ever since.

"I just want to kick on and do as much as I can for the club, I think we're in a really good position at the moment, so we just need to keep our standards high."

Head of women's football, Flo Allen, said: "Millie epitomises everything Norwich City stands for. Her professionalism, commitment and leadership have consistently set the standards within the playing group.

"Her performances this season have highlighted her importance to the team and she fully deserves this reward."
