Head coach Dean Smith was pleased with the fighting spirit shown by his side in claiming a 1-0 victory over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
Smith admitted that he would have hoped for his side to control more of the ball but was impressed with the other characteristics shown in grinding out the result on the seaside.
"First of all, really pleased to get the three points, hard place to come. I thought they started the game better than we did. Maybe that's a sign that we haven't had all the lads together for two weeks," Smith said.
"We've had a lot of them on international duty but we have a great mentality. They make a mistake and Teemu (Pukki) punishes them, and then I thought for the rest of the first half, we probably could have scored two or three more and put the game to bed.
"But such is this league, if you don't put the game to bed the opposition still have a sniff. They certainly put us under pressure for the last 20 minutes of the game."
As well as the spirit on display from the Yellows, Smith said there were some positives to take from the performance, notably the link up of the front four.
A period of dominance in the first half, during which Pukki scored the winning goal, was a window which the head coach felt could have been more fruitful.
"They hit the post and I think it was a bit of a warning shot to the players. From there, they made that mistake, we scored the goal and our front four linked up really really well together.
"They created a number of opportunities, we hit the post, hit the bar from a free-kick, Grant's (Hanley) had a header from a free-kick as well. We had a number of chances where we could have stretched the lead in the game.
"We're getting better. I saw some link-up play in that first half that could have had us out of sight. We want to have more control of games than we had today but that will come."
He also reserved some praise for the 1700-plus Norwich fans who made the cross-country trip to support the side.
"That's the best I've seen them today, the atmosphere from the away fans that have travelled up to Blackpool last night and this morning was fantastic and that spurred the lads on," he added.
