Dean Smith spoke to CanariesTV following Norwich City's 2-1 win over Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon.
Kenny McLean and Aaron Ramsey scored for the Canaries, as the side marked their final away game before the break with all three points.
"A tough game. For large periods, I thought we were in control. We decided to play two upfront today, as they try to congest the pitch and that leaves big spaces in behind. And who would want to play against Teemu Pukki and Josh Sargent.
"We got in behind a number of times today, but our next pass could've been better. We created some big chances today, and I thought we deserved it. They've had a few shouts at the end for a penalty, but we had one at our end.
"The end result is what we needed, and I thought we defended really well. Maybe we dropped a little bit too deep in the last 15 minutes and invited them onto us, but overall we defended resolutely.
"We've given them a goal. Gabriel's given them a square pass, but he done really well for our goal. Our reaction to their goal was really good, I thought Max done really well, and so did Gabriel. Sarge got the shot away and AJ arrived for his third goal of the season.
"After that, I felt we had a really good passage of play and were in control. Sarge had a big chance that the goalkeeper saved. We restricted them to half-headers and felt we dropped off slightly.
"The fans were magnificent, and they have been all season. We had a tough start with the results against Cardiff and Hull, but on their travels, we've heard them all the way. And we'd like to thank them for all their support. They get a nice little break now, one more game against Middlesbrough before the World Cup.
"Hopefully they get a well-earned rest, and go home celebrating today!"
