Dean Smith has urged the team to have a must-win mentality heading into Saturday's match against Newcastle United.
Norwich currently sit eight points from safety in the Premier League with just six-games to go, meaning that only victories at this stage, especially at home, will be good enough.
“Every game in the Premier League is difficult but we need to have a must-win mentality," he said.
“We can't look at other games going on in the league because they don’t matter until we try and get the results ourselves so we’ll try and win on Saturday.”
“Just keep fighting, is the message, I think we’ve shown fight in the last couple of games against Burnley and Manchester United last week," added Dean.
“I’m still frustrated that we took nothing away from that game (Manchester United), we made too many mistakes that cost us goals and points.
“We need to cut out those individual mistakes in the last six games, as a collective the group is in a good place but we’ve just made too many mistakes.”
Speaking on Newcastle’s good run of form recently Dean, said: “Their recent record away from home hasn’t been as good as their home form.
“So that’s something we’ll be talking to the players about, but we competed with United at Old Trafford last week and should’ve come away with something from the game.
“So for us it’s about concentrating on ourselves, we played really well against Burnley at home and got our supporters behind us. That’s something that is so important to have at Carrow Road and if we do that we stand a good chance of winning the game.”
After Brandon Williams’ recent injury and being ineligible against his parent club, Dimitris Giannoulis has stepped up to the plate, creating a battle that Dean is relishing at left-back, saying “It’s a much bigger and better problem for me the fight at left-back.
“I thought Dimi was one of our better players against Brighton and thought he played well against Burnley and did well again against Manchester United, his defending was better as well and he’s getting fitter and that is important for us.
“I’ll pick it on merit, all loan players are Norwich City players until the end of the season, my job is to pick the best team for the game, whether that be a loan player or not it’s what's best for the team.”
Dean has also been impressed by Kieran Dowell’s recent form saying “He (Kieran) has shown it in the last couple of games, he’s stepping up, he drifts in between the lines very well.
“Once he’s inside and he’s got space in the pocket he can find a pass, he’s got the opportunity now which is good for him and a goal and an assist will do him a world of good.”
