The Norwich City January Player of the Month trophy was presented to Kieran Dowell by Canary fan Luke Mitchell on Monday afternoon at the Lotus Training Centre.

Each month, our award sponsors Anglian Home Improvements give fans the chance to choose someone in their community to present the award to the winning player.

This month’s nominee is Luke, who has dedicated much of his spare time to raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust, raising over £2,400 alone and a total of £9,251 with the help of friends and family.

The Canary fan chose this particular charity because of their outstanding support to a person very close to him who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2020.

Alongside his charity work with his dad and best friend, he is also working towards a PhD in studies of cancer research.

Luke, 25, told canaries.co.uk: “I have been a Norwich fan for as long as I can remember and have been to more games than I can remember, including the play-off final in 2015.

“The opportunity of giving the Anglian Home Improvements Player of the Month award truly means the world to me.”

If you know someone who deserves recognition for their work in the community and want to nominate them to present the next POTM award, keep an eye out for the vote on our website at the end of the month.
