Norwich City are delighted to confirm that East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) have been selected as our charity matchday partner for this weekend’s match against Wrexham.
The charity provides advanced critical care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to the most seriously ill and injured people in the region by air and road.
From road traffic collisions to cardiac arrests to medical emergencies, the charity’s specialist doctors, critical care paramedics and pilots bring their advanced skills, equipment and medicine directly to the patient’s side in the fastest time possible.
The equipment carried by EAAA’s helicopters and critical care cars enables enhanced care at the incident scene, such as blood transfusions, advanced pain relief, sedation and anaesthesia, and surgical interventions
EAAA receives no regular government funding and relies almost entirely on public support.
EAAA’s community fundraising manager, Barbara McGee, said: "We’re thrilled to be chosen as the charity matchday partner for Norwich City’s fixture against Wrexham.
"It’s a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness of East Anglian Air Ambulance and the life-saving work our crews carry out in our community.
"On average, EAAA is tasked eight times a day to medical emergencies in our region.
"Each emergency tasking costs an average of £4,250, so we are incredibly grateful for the chance to collaborate with our local footballing community and we hope supporters will be inspired to make a donation or learn more about the charity’s life-saving work."
