Norwich City Under-18s players Dubem Eze and Michael Reindorf preview the side's trip to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
The Under-18s will look for a positive result, and end their disappointing run of form as they travel to the Amex Elite Football Performance Centre.
"We've got to be confident," Eze says.
"We feel like it's a winnable game, and we've been preparing throughout the week in the right ways to hopefully get the best result.
"We've not been in the best form as of late, and I think we're still looking for our first win of the year. It's a big game for us, especially on the back end of the last result.
"We're looking for a positive performance and then turn that performance into a win, which is something we haven't been able to do."
Following last week's defeat away to West Ham United, the Under-18s will look to return to winning ways, and Reindorf says the side can be optimistic about turning their form around.
"We've got to be optimistic," he says.
"After that loss on the weekend, it's all about showing our reaction to that game and how well we can perform after that.
"It's all a learning curve for us. In games like that, we're not always going to win week in, week out. If that was the case, there wouldn't be certain players in certain teams, it's all about developing.
"The reaction will show a lot about us. It'll show if we've got that character, and it'll show how far we can go in our careers with that mentality."
Norwich and Brighton have met once already this season, with the Seagulls coming out on top as victors back in August.
Despite the defeat, both players are confident they can take the three points this time around.
"Brighton are a very good side, they like to move the ball," Reindorf adds.
"If we recognise where their players make mistakes, we can hopefully capitalise on that.
"Knowing your opponent always helps, as we can get an idea of where we can improve and hit them defensively, and hopefully score some goals."
"It's an opportunity for us," Eze explains.
"Hopefully we'll be able to score some goals, which is something we've not been able to do much in recent games.
"I felt like the last time we played Brighton, it was a game we should've won. We were unlucky, as they scored late on. We'll be looking to reverse that result, and get a win away."
