Norwich City have completed the signing of Tunisian international midfielder Anis Ben Slimane on a season-long loan.
Slimane has joined the club from Sheffield United where he made 15 appearances in the Premier League last season.
Born in Copenhagen, Slimane had a youth career that saw him move between various clubs in Denmark before making his professional breakthrough at AB where he worked with Johannes Hoff Thorup.
He moved to Brøndby in 2020 and would go on to make 121 appearances for the club, including partnering a young Oscar Schwartau in midfield on Schwartau's debut.
Slimane made 29 appearances, scoring three times, as Brøndby won the 2020/21 Danish Superliga title.
At the end of the 2023 season, he joined newly-promoted Sheffield United.
He featured off the bench for the Blades last weekend in the 1-1 draw against City at Carrow Road.
At international level, Slimane represented Denmark at Under-19 level before linking up with Tunisia's Under-20s.
He made a goalscoring debut at senior level in October 2020, netting the last goal in a 3-0 friendly win against Sudan.
He has since gone on to make 34 appearances, featuring in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the Africa Cup of Nations in 2022 and 2024.
