Ben Chrisene has officially made the move to Norwich City from Aston Villa ahead of the 2024/25 season.
To get a better idea of what to expect from the 20-year-old, we’ve taken a look back at his career so far.
Chrisene started his footballing journey with Exeter City, joining their academy at the age of 11.
Chrisene made his senior debut in an EFL Cup game against Coventry City at just 15 years and seven months in August 2019, becoming Exeter City’s youngest ever player.
He then made his league debut, coming on as a substitute against Cambridge United the following January, playing his part in a 2-0 win and keeping a clean sheet.
Around this time, he was also called up to England’s Under-15 and Under-16 squad. He has gone on to feature internationally for England’s at every age group up as far as the Men's Elite Squad that the spent time with during the last summer.
In the summer of 2020, he signed for Premier League club Aston Villa, initially joining their youth squad.
It didn’t take long for the left-back to make the jump to the first squad, as he appeared in the starting line-up in the FA Cup third round tie against Liverpool.
Chrisene was also apart of the Aston Villa squad which lifted the FA Youth Cup in 2021, scoring the opening goal in their 2-1 victory over Liverpool Under-18s.
In 2022, he signed for Scottish side Kilmarnock on a season-long loan spell, making his debut for the club in a 2-1 home victory over Motherwell.
Chrisene had 13 appearances for the club before an injury would rule him out for the remainder of the season.
In January 2024, Chrisene joined Blackburn Rovers on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season, making 16 appearances for the Championship side, but was an unused substitute when the Canaries visited Ewood Park in February.
