Callum Doyle joined Norwich City on a season-long loan from Manchester City, and we’ve taken a look at his career up to this point.
Born in Manchester, Doyle is a product of the Manchester City academy and has featured for the club’s various youth sides.
His first taste of first-team football came out on loan during the 2021/22 season, where he joined Sky Bet League One side Sunderland.
He made 44 appearances in total for the Black Cats, and helped the side to promotion back to the Championship via the play-offs.
The following season saw the defender head on loan again, this time to Coventry City.
Doyle featured in 46 fixtures across all competitions for Mark Robins’ side, and almost earned promotion into the Premier League after a play-off final defeat to Luton Town.
Last season Doyle was sent out on loan once again, as he linked up with Enzo Maresca’s Leicester City side in the Championship.
The 20-year-old made 23 appearances in all competitions as the Foxes were crowned Championship winners and made an immediate return to the Premier League.
Internationally, Doyle has featured for England at four different age groups and made an instant impact on his debut for the Under-21s, scoring in a win over Luxembourg in 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying.
During this summer’s pre-season, he featured for Pep Guardiola’s side in fixtures against Celtic, AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea in the United States.
