Papa Amadou Diallo became a Norwich City player in July 2025, making the move to Carrow Road from French side Metz.
Born in Saint-Louis, a city based in the north-west of Senegal, Diallo began his footballing career with Académie Galaxy Sport Saint-Louis.
He later transferred to the country's capital, Dakar, to play top flight football in Ligue 1 for Génération Foot and featured 20 times for the club. Prior to coming to Europe, the 21-year-old made his international debut during the 2022 African Nations Championship.
Diallo scored twice during the tournament and started in the final as Senegal defeated Algeria on penalties to win the competition.
Shortly after the tournament, he signed for French side Metz and initially featured for the club's B team in the lower tiers of French football.
He made his first-team debut for Metz in May 2023, coming off the bench in a Ligue 2 fixture against Guingamp. The following season, in Ligue 1, Diallo made 16 league appearances and netted twice, scoring against AS Monaco and Stade Rennais.
After Metz's relegation back to Ligue 2, Diallo became a regular for the club and featured in 28 league games, scoring seven times.
The 21-year-old was part of Stéphane Le Mignan's side that earned promotion back into the French top flight, defeating Stade de Reims in the play-offs.
