Pelle Mattsson joined Norwich City in August 2025 from Danish Superliga side Silkeborg IF.
Born in Marstal, a town in southern Denmark, Mattsson began his footballing journey at Marstal IF and ØBG Fodbold, before joining Silkeborg at the age of 13.
After regularly featuring for the club's Under-19s and reserve sides, Mattsson made his senior debut in April 2019 against Hvidovre IF in the second tier of Danish football.
The midfielder was part of the Silkeborg side that earned promotion into the Danish Superliga during the 2019/20 season, winning the title ahead of Viborg FF.
Mattsson has gone on to become a regular in the midfield at JYSK Park, featuring 149 times in all competitions and was part of the team that defeated AGF Aarhus in the final of the 2023/24 Danish Cup.
Earlier this summer, the 24-year-old featured in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Conference League, beating Icelandic side KA before falling to defeat against Polish side Jagiellonia Białystok.
He now makes his first move outside of Denmark and to English football, signing a deal until the summer of 2028, with the option of a further year.
Pelle's brother, Magnus, is a professional footballer and has played for Superliga side FC Copenhagen since February 2024.
