Sam Field made the deadline day switch to Norwich City, joining on loan from Queens Park Rangers.
Born in Stourbridge, Field began his footballing journey at West Bromwich Albion and made his first-team debut for the Baggies in May 2016 in a Premier League fixture against Liverpool.
In June of the same year, he signed his professional contract at the Hawthorns and went on to make 45 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring two goals.
During the 2019/20 season, the midfielder embarked on his first loan spell away from West Brom as he joined Charlton Athletic on loan. He made 18 appearances in the Sky Bet Championship for the Addicks.
In February 2021, Field went out on loan again, this time he joined Queens Park Rangers for the remainder of the 2021/22 season. He scored on his QPR debut, as the R's were 2-1 winners over Brentford.
Field then joined QPR on a permanent basis following his loan, making 29 Championship appearances in his first full season at Loftus Road.
The following season saw the 27-year-old feature in every Championship game and was named as QPR's player of the year and players' player of the year.
He has gone on to feature regularly for QPR, making 198 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Internationally, he has represented England at youth level.
