Norwich City have captured the signature of goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević from Sporting CP.
The 6' 4" stopper started his senior career with Sarajevo where he was twice in a title-winning squad.
That league success also afforded him the opportunity to get some European football under his belt, competing in the early qualifying rounds of the Champions League.
After three seasons as number one at Sarajevo, he was signed by Polish club Raków Częstochowa where he would enjoy further success.
In his first season, they won the Polish Cup and he was named as the league's goalkeeper of the season.
He clinched the personal award once again the following campaign but this time was able to pair it with a league title.
After failing to qualify for the Champions League, they would make it to the 2023/24 Europa League proper where Kovačević played in all six of their group games. By this point, he had been joined at the club by young Croatian striker Ante Crnac.
Among their opponents in that group were Ruben Amorim's Sporting CP who returned that summer to sign the 'keeper.
In February 2025, he returned to Poland on loan with Legia Warszawa before securing his move to City.
