Norwich City primary partner Anglian Home Improvements are calling upon football fans and families across Norfolk to support those needing extra help in the run-up to Christmas by donating tinned goods ahead of the Canaries' home match against Burnley on December 15.
The collection will support Norfolk Community Foundation's Nourishing Norfolk campaign and their mission to combat food insecurity in the local community.
It will take place on match day at Carrow Road between 11am and 3pm, while there is also an opportunity for those not planning to attend the fixture to support the campaign by dropping non-perishable items to The Nest between Monday, December 9, and Sunday, December 15.
What to bring:

- Tinned fruit and vegetables
- Tinned meat and fish
- Baked beans and soup
- Tinned ravioli and macaroni cheese
Where and when to bring it:
- Sunday, December 15 (11am to 3pm) - Carrow Road. Anglian Home Improvements vans stationed at two locations outside the ground.
- Monday, December 9, to Sunday, December 15 - The Nest, main reception. (NR10 3AZ).

Alongside the food collection from local families and football fans, Anglian Home Improvements and Norwich City will be donating £1,000 each to the charity to help support it with its ongoing efforts in the region. The donations will be used to make a difference to families in need across the charity’s network of affordable food hubs.
Nourishing Norfolk is an initiative from Norfolk Community Foundation that helps local people obtain affordable, healthy food. It has created 26 food hubs in local communities in the region, which have helped over 34,000 people save up to 40 per cent on their weekly shopping. These hubs also offer support such as cooking tips, budgeting help and advice to help people escape food poverty for good.
Rachael Munby, chief marketing officer at Anglian Home Improvements, said: “More and more families across Norfolk are struggling to meet the rising costs of living, especially at this time of year with the colder weather and concerns about how they will afford to feed their families this Christmas. It can be an expensive and stressful time of year for many, which is why we wanted to support and shine a light on Nourishing Norfolk and the fantastic work they do.
“As well as helping to collect as many tinned food items as possible, we will also be donating £1,000 to the charity and we hope this will help Nourishing Norfolk to continue to make a difference in the local community. We would love it if Norwich City fans and locals in and around the area could support us in fighting food poverty this Christmas by sharing some tinned goods for the charity too.”

All items generously donated will be distributed across our network of affordable food hubs where families can purchase food items at a much lower cost than the supermarkets. Norwich City executive director Zoe Webber said: "We're delighted to be supporting both Anglian Home Improvements and the Norfolk Community Foundation in the Nourishing Norfolk food bank collection this Christmas.
"We know the strength of our community, and would encourage anyone attending our game against Burnley on Sunday, December 15, to help support the programme with any long shelf life food products if they can. Our supporters also have the option to make drop-offs at The Nest throughout the course of the week.
"Christmas can be a challenging time of year for many. We want to use our club as a platform and voice in our local community to make a positive impact on those in need at this time of year.”
