Here are some frequently asked questions with regards to our Membership packages for 2022/23.
What membership options will be available for the 2022/23 season?
Since the 2019/20 season, we have worked extensively with supporters and undertaken in depth research and analysis to ensure the membership scheme is not only fit for purpose but is also accessible and beneficial to a wide variety of supporters.
This was successfully implemented in the 2021/22 season and as a result we have only made slight changes based on the feedback we received from surveys and consultations with our supporters. Our 2022/23 membership options are:
- Home – available for adult supporters based within the United Kingdom (aged 21 or over)
- Away – available for adult supporters only (aged 21 or over)
- International – available for adult supporters based outside of the United Kingdom (aged 21 or over)
- Young Adult – available for supporters aged 14-20
- Junior Canaries – available for supporters aged 0-13
What changes have you made to the memberships from the 2022/23 season?
Following the successful implementation of sales groups last season, we will continue to release tickets in this manner with a couple of alterations:
As we were able to open our stadium throughout the whole of the 2021/22 season, ticket access will be allocated depending on how many home or away games supporters attended within this season; this includes cup games.
We also received plenty of feedback from supporters who informed us it was very difficult to purchase tickets with other supporters in different sales groups, and that we had too many sales dates for all the fixtures. As a result, we have reduced the number of sales groups making it easier to purchase tickets with friends and family, whilst continuing to provide priority access to those supporters who have attended the highest number of games.
Supporters can view which sales group they fall into via the account details on their online ticketing account.
We have also made minor alterations to the junior memberships from the 2021/22 season.
Whereas in the 2021/22 season we split our memberships into Under-21, Under-18, Under-12 and Under-5, the feedback we received demonstrated these age ranges and more importantly the benefits that accompany the respective memberships, were not reflective of our supporters.
We strongly believe in the importance of having a bespoke membership for our supporters aged under 21. As a result, we have created a Young Adult membership for supporters aged 14-20 who feel as though they are not correctly represented as a junior member, but they should still be able to gain all the benefits from last season for the same price.
Our Junior Canaries members will therefore be juniors aged 0-13, with three different categories within the Junior Canaries membership.
Junior supporters aged 0-3 will still get their membership at no cost following the successful debut of the free membership scheme for our youngest supporters. Those who took advantage of this in the 2021/22 will need to take no action as their membership will automatically carry over providing the junior is aged 0-3 from September 1, 2022.
Our paid junior membership will start for juniors aged 4-8. Whereas in the 2021/22 season junior supporters aged 4 were able to claim their membership for free, based on feedback we received this is the age supporters wanted to start coming to games. Juniors aged 4+ will all receive ticketing benefits as part of their membership allowing them to come to Carrow Road for the first time.
The final age range for Junior Canaries members is 9-13. Traditionally junior supporters this age tend to attend games regularly, as well as engage with our content such as parties and our Junior Canaries website more frequently hence their own age group. Based on feedback and our own observations these three age ranges of junior members have different behaviours and will therefore receive slightly different benefits such as a different membership pack.
How do I know which membership option to purchase?
Fans wishing to attend home games can purchase a home membership and likewise fans wishing to attend away games can purchase an away membership.
Any supporter based outside of the United Kingdom (over the age of 20) will be able to purchase a bespoke International Membership.
For supporters aged 14-20, the Young Adult membership option provides both home and away benefits combined whilst clearly differentiating from our junior canary members. If you are a season ticket holder and fit within this age category, please ensure you purchase a top-up membership as this will provide you with the discount you receive as a season ticket holder.
All junior supporters aged 4-13 will be able to purchase a Junior Canaries membership, our system will automatically filter each supporter based on the DOB on their account to ensure they receive the correct membership and unique welcome back. As with the Young Adult membership, if you are a season ticket holder please ensure you purchase a top-up membership as this will provide you with the discount you receive.
There will also be a separate product available to junior supporters aged 0-3, as this membership does not include some benefits such as ticket access with this being available for free.
Please note – the system will restrict membership purchasing to ensure a supporter is purchasing the correct membership option corresponding to their account details. When purchasing a junior membership, you MUST purchase on the junior’s account otherwise you will not be able to checkout.
How do I know which membership age category my child falls into?
The newly introduced age categories for our non-adult members are designed to provide bespoke benefits suited to their age, therefore our system will automatically filter supporters who purchase a Junior Canaries membership.
The age brackets will be set as of September 1, 2022 which means a junior will fall into an age category depending on their age as of that date. For example, a supporter with a DOB of 31/08/2008 may be aged 13 at the point of purchase but as of September 1, they will be aged 14 which would mean they would fall into the Young Adult category for the 2022/23 season.
How do you know how old my child is?
All junior supporters who have a Junior Canaries membership will receive unique benefits based on the three different categories. We will determine which category your child falls into based on the date of birth which is listed on their One City account. If their date of birth is incorrect, please contact ncfcticketoffice@canaries.co.uk BEFORE you purchase their Junior Canaries memberships as once it has been purchased we are unable to change this.
What is the cost of a 2022/23 membership?
All 2022/23 memberships will be priced at £25. Non-adult season ticket holders (under the age of 20) will be able to purchase a top-up membership for £15 as their membership does not include benefits relating to home ticket access. Junior supporters aged 0-3 as of September 1, 2022 will received their membership for free.
Do I receive a discount for being a 2021/22 member?
If you purchased a membership within the 2021/22 season you will receive a 10% discount on your membership providing you purchase your 2022/23 membership on or before Friday, June 17. This will automatically be applied to your basket when you checkout.
If you purchase your membership after Friday, June 17 you will not receive this renewal discount.
When will 2022/23 memberships go on sale?
Memberships for the 2022/23 season will go on sale to all supporters on Thursday, May 26 at 10am. Current 2021/22 members will receive information on their renewal prior to this date.
What is a top-up membership?
A top-up membership is available to all season ticket holders under the age of 21, to add a membership onto the season ticket that they already own. This top-up membership will provide all of the additional benefits that members receive excluding access to home tickets and a home Match Pick, as these supporters already have their seat at Carrow Road secured with their season ticket.
For 2022/23 memberships, season ticket holders who are eligible for this will be able to purchase a top-up membership, as has been the case in previous seasons.
Ticket access
How will tickets be released once they’re on sale?
What are the sales groups for home games?
All 2022/23 Home, International, Young Adult, and Junior Canaries (excluding supporters aged 0-3) members will have access to home tickets based on the number of home games attended during the 2021/22 season. Please see below sales groups for home games.
What are the sales groups for away games?
All 2022/23 Away, Young Adult, and Junior Canaries (excluding supporters aged 0-3) will have access to away tickets based on the number of away games attended during the 2021/22 season. Please see below sales groups for away games.
How do you know how many games I attended during the 2021/22 season?
The sales group that you fall into for the 2022/23 season is based on the data held on our ticketing system from games attended during the 2021/22 season. This data is determined by a ticket purchase within a supporters account and that account only. We are unable to authenticate any games attended that do not directly correspond to a ticket purchase within your ticketing account.
How can I find out which sales group I am in?
When memberships go on sale on Thursday, May 26, you will be able to check which sales group you will fall into for the 2022/23 season by logging into your online ticketing account, you will see an alert informing you of the sales group if you purchase a 2022/23 membership. Alternatively, you can call 01603 72 1902 (option 1) to find out which sales group you will fall into.
Why have you reduced the number of sales groups compared to the 2021/22 season?
After extensive supporter consultations, the feedback was that supporters struggled to purchase tickets with their friends and family in different sales groups. We also received all ticket sales across the 2021/22 and noted that the majority of games both home and away were made available to all 2021/22 members who have the relevant membership.
However, we also were keen to ensure that those supporters who attended the highest number of games in the 2021/22 season still had priority compared to members who attended fewer games. Keeping sales group 1 as 10+ games ensured this remained the case despite reducing the number of sales groups.
