Norwich City Academy midfielder Finley Welch has signed his first professional contract with the club.
After coming through the Academy's schoolboy programme, Welch signed a scholarship deal with the club in 2021.
Since then, he has been a regular for Greg Crane's Under-18 side, as well as featuring for the Under-21s.
"I'm lost for words really. It's a big moment for me and my family, a massive thanks to them," Welch said.
"It's always been my dream to be a professional footballer, since I was a young boy, and now that it's happened, it's just surreal.
"I started playing for Norwich at the age of 11, so seven years now. They've helped me develop a lot as a player and a person, on and off the pitch. I want to say a big thank you to all the staff at the club."
Welch will be hoping to continue that positive development in the coming years and believes that he has found the right environment for that to happen.
"It's a very welcoming environment, all the players are up for a laugh and a joke but when we get serious is when we're at our best."
