Norwich City and Anglian Home Improvements are delighted to announce that Canaries fans raised over £9,000 for the Nourishing Norfolk programme at last weekend's game against QPR.
For the second consecutive year, the club teamed up with primary partner Anglian Home Improvements to support vulnerable families across the region during the festive period.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Yellow Army, a total of £9,020 has been raised for the Norfolk Community Foundation’s initiative.
Fans donated £4,510 of contactless payments or cash, which has been doubled thanks to the foundation’s ‘Matched for Change’ appeal.
The financial total far surpasses the £2,000 raised during last year's campaign, marking a massive triumph for the initiative.
In addition to financial support, the collection points received 400kg of food donations, equivalent to over 955 meals.
These essential items and funds will support 25 Nourishing Norfolk food hubs in their mission to combat food insecurity this Christmas.
On the day, Anglian Home Improvements volunteers were joined by honorary life president Delia Smith to welcome fans and gather donations outside the stadium.
Rachael Munby, chief marketing officer at Anglian Home Improvements, said: “The generosity of Norwich City fans has once again been truly inspiring. Their support will prove vital for vulnerable families across the region.
“We’re especially thrilled that the Norfolk Community Foundation’s ‘Matched for Change’ appeal means every monetary donation is doubled, meaning the impact of this initiative is even greater. Supporting our local communities is a core value of our business and we’re incredibly proud to have not only met but exceeded last year’s monetary total.”
The club and Anglian Home Improvements would like to thank everyone who has donated so far.
Supporters who wish to contribute can still do so via the JustGiving page.
