A shirt worn by Duncan Forbes on the night Norwich City secured their place in the top tier for the first time in their history has been unveiled by the Norwich City Football Club Historical Trust.
The shirt is now on display inside the directors' entrance at Carrow Road.
In the final match of the 1971/72 campaign, City needed just a point away to Watford to win the title which they achieved with a 1-1 draw.
City wore red, rather than their traditional yellow and green, to avoid a colour clash with the hosts.
When the players threw their shirts into the travelling fans at the end of the game, Forbes' came to be in possession of a young Glenn Stuart who has now kindly donated it to the Historical Trust.
Glenn was one of the special guests on the night along with former team-mates of Forbes, Dave Stringer and Clive Payne.
The Historical Trust was formed in 2002 on the club's centenary day and is a registered charity. Its purpose is to preserve objects and information relating to the club’s heritage and history.
