Norwich City Community Sports Foundation chairperson Jake Humphrey has praised the work of the club's official charity as it released its latest impact report.
In his foreword to the report, Mr Humphrey conveyed his gratitude to the Foundation team for their work:
"Our people make us who we are; they drive, they innovate, and they care.
"I would like to thank them for their hard work and vital contributions as we reflect on another successful year of changing lives in Norfolk."
The Foundation engaged with 43,230 unique individuals for an incredible total of 681,557 engagement hours during the course of 2023, which is the period covered by the report.
Mr Humphrey highlighted the charity's growth and thanked all those who had supported its mission:
"The Norwich City Community Sports Foundation and The Nest family continues to grow in staff, aiding our quality and volume of delivery in everything we do.
"I would also like to thank the incredible people who make what we do possible through partnering, sponsoring, fundraising and volunteering.
"Without these supporters, our impact would be greatly reduced."
The report reveals the key impact made across the Foundation's core areas of boosting mental health and wellbeing, inspiring disadvantaged people, driving inclusion for people with disabilities, and engaging with the community.
Some highlights from the year included in the report:
- The cerebral palsy football team claimed their league title on the final day of the season
- An additional 3G pitch was added to The Nest's existing facilities thanks to funding support from the Football Foundation
- The Foundation added the new Brundall Sports Hub to its venues
- 6,777 runners took part in the Foundation's Run Norwich 10K, the biggest ever field for the event
- Over half a million pounds was raised from fundraising events and donations
