Delia’s Canary Catering held September's workshop on Thursday afternoon last week in the Top of the Terrace at Carrow Road.

This month’s theme was Autumn Entertaining, hosted by chef Alex Mackay, Jason Banner from Peter Graham Wines and Reeve Cooper from Yellows Bar and Grill.

Alex spent years in Provence, where Autumn is a mystical time for the early harvests of wild mushrooms and grapes to mingle with the remaining joys of summer.

He gave guests plenty of restaurant tips for meat, fish, veg and desserts, made accessible to them at home and for entertaining this Autumn.

For the cocktail portion of the day, Reeve taught the guests how to make a Margarita, Mojito, Negroni and a Pumpkin Spiced Old Fashioned.

Guests then sat down to a three-course lunch paired with wine tasting for each course with Jason.

Finishing off, guests had the chance to put their questions to the hosts, including Delia Smith, in a Q&A session, alongside a book signing where guests could get their recipe books autographed.

The next workshop is on Tuesday, November 28 entitled Christmas Cooking. You can book your place on the course here.
