Norwich City Women are delighted to announce the signing of defender Grace Riglar from Blackburn Rovers.
The centre-back has six years of experience in the Women's Championship, now known as WSL 2, beginning her career in Bristol City's youth set-up.
She earned a call up to the English Colleges FA squad at age 17, impressing at an international tournament in Barcelona that earned her National Team Player of the Year.
On joining the Canaries, she told the club: "I'm really excited about getting started and just can't wait to get going.
"The Championship is so competitive, you have to be on your game day in, day out, so I hope to bring some of that intensity and competitive edge here.
"I've known Flo for a few years and only ever heard really positive things about Andy and got the feel that it's a really inclusive club and everyone is looked after well."
Flo Allen, head of women's football, added: "I am delighted to be welcoming Grace to the club. She is a player who adds significant experience to our talented playing group.
"Grace is hugely versatile, brings composure on the ball and will offer a strong presence in both boxes through her aerial ability.
"Having accumulated a considerable number of appearances in WSL2, signing a player of her calibre is a clear testament to the resources and backing our club owners have committed to in professionalising our women’s football programme.
"I am looking forward to seeing Grace integrate with the team and thrive under the guidance of head coach Andy Cook."
Making the switch to Leicester City in 2019, Riglar eventually became part of the team that achieved promotion to the WSL in 2021.
At the expiration of her contract with the Foxes, Riglar joined Championship side Coventry United in July 2021, where she was a regular in the team.
The summer of 2022 saw her join fellow Championship side Sheffield United and get regular minutes for a further season.
The 24-year-old spent the 2024/25 season with Rovers in the second tier of the women's football pyramid, signing in August 2024.
She made five appearances and scored one goal; the opening goal in a 2-1 defeat to Durham Women in the Subway Women's League Cup.
Prior to her time with the Lancashire side, she spent a year with Lewes in the Championship, earning herself top goal scorer, Manager's Player of the Season and Player's Player of the Season.
Riglar will wear the number two shirt this season.
