Norwich City Under-18s coach Greg Crane says he is looking for the younger players of the squad to step up ahead of tomorrow's clash against Chelsea.
The Under-18s welcome Chelsea to the Lotus Training Centre, and will look to bounce back from last week's 4-3 defeat away at Arsenal, a game that Crane describes as back and forth.
"The Arsenal game swung back and forth. We went down, we equalised, we went in front, and then late on, we got a little bit sloppy towards the end. A couple of quick goals, and we were on the back foot.
"But in terms of a game overall, I was really happy with the boys. The way we performed, we had numerous Under-16s start to play, and the ones who stepped up did really well.
"It'll be the same again this week against Chelsea, starting to expose the younger lads to the team and we'll see what happens this week as well."
With the visit of Chelsea, Crane says it's just like any other game and is looking towards the younger players to step up.
"It's the same as any other game, we've approached it in the same way. As always, Chelsea have a lot of players in their first-team from their academy at the moment. They always have good players, so it'll be really good for the younger players stepping up and trying to compete.
"It'll also be good for them to make their stamp on the game and trying to make a mark on the game for tomorrow."
Back in September, Norwich recorded a 1-0 win over Chelsea in the reverse fixture. Despite claiming three points at the Cobham Training Centre, Crane expects a different Chelsea side in a league where anyone can beat anyone.
"If you look at the league, nearly everyone has beaten everyone. But we're missing a few through injuries, Caleb Ansen and Leon Giller are both injured, Waylon Renecke is away with England, which is excellent.
"It's another great opportunity for the likes of Alfie Doy to lead, and Uriah Djedje to step up and lead by example, and drive the team forward. Again, I'm looking forward to the game. I hope the wind doesn't kill it! Hopefully the football and the game will be very enjoyable."
