Onel Hernández says the mood in camp following Saturday's win is very positive and something is building with the fans at Carrow Road.
"The mood in camp since Saturday is incredible, everyone is happy.
"It was very enjoyable celebrating with the crowd after the game; something is building this year, something is coming up for us if we continue the hard work. It could be a very good season.
"We've worked very hard over the break, and we prepared ourselves well for the first game of the season.
"We know what we are up against, we know what we have to do, we know how we have to work as a team, which is what we have done all of pre-season."
City remained unbeaten in pre-season, with wins against King's Lynn, Darmstadt, Toulouse, Olympiacos. After a win on the opening day against Hull at Carrow Road, the Canaries travel to Southampton for the first away game of the season.
"We worked very hard for that result, but we can't rest on that. The weekend is coming and we have to focus on the next game."
