Johannes Hoff Thorup sat down with the media for the first time after being appointed as Norwich City head coach.
The Dane was joined by sporting director Ben Knapper in a press conference at Carrow Road.
"Fantastic impression so far," Hoff Throup said. "I arrived on Wednesday and started working the same day, some meetings, a chance for me to get around and see the facilities. It's good so far, a fantastic place.
"I'm driven by ambition, a clear strategy, a clear plan, a clear structure. I had a feeling from day one that the academy plays a huge part here. There's big ambitions and that was the key in taking me away from Denmark.
"I phoned some people that I know, Steen Nedergaard was one of them. He had only praise about the club and city. In the end it was quite an easy decision."
Thorup also highlighted the quality within the squad already and how keen he is to work with the team in pre-season.
He also detailed his style of play and what his Norwich City team will look like.
"We have to get started, I have to see players but my feeling is we're in a good place. Everything here is in place for us to reach for more than the Championship. There's great quality in the squad. There's exciting young players and some great experience. It ticks the boxes in terms of every kind of player, we are well covered.
"Every thing I do within coaching starts with the ball, what we do with the ball, our positions, attack is our mindset. Doing that, we need to be comfortable and dominant on the ball. We want to create chances and score goals.
"Success is tricky to measure, we need to implement how we want to play. There will be losses along the way but people need to see it's a Norwich team performing.
"Planning pre-season, how we'll train, what the day will look like so we can implement our style of play from day one. There's six weeks which is OK time, now we're planning what our purpose will be for that time.
The 35-year-old also spoke about Glen Riddersholm, who has joined him at the club as assistant head coach.
"I sat down with the people supporting me and we talked about who could join me here. It was actually quite fast for us to decide that Glen would be the main one to pursue. We discussed football, training and ambitions. I know him from the past and training courses.
"Glen has experience in building a culture. There is a great culture here already from what I hear and see. We just need to build on that, improve or add a little bit extra."
