Ahead of tonight’s home fixture against Millwall, Norwich City would like to reiterate to fans that the club is dedicated to ensuring that Carrow Road is a home for everyone and a place that all supporters feel safe.
Norwich City Women player Rebecca Russell spoke to canaries.co.uk about how Carrow Road feels like a home to her. She said: “Everyone connected to the club is so friendly and welcoming.
“You feel at ease and relaxed as soon as you arrive outside the ground. It is very clear the club is here for its community.
The club also discussed with the new signing for the women’s team why holding fans responsible to unacceptable behaviour is so important.
Rebecca said: “Holding fans responsible for their behaviour is of paramount importance to the game of football and the community to which that team is associated to.
“All fans must realise they are role models for future generations of fans of their club and it is important to represent the true values of the team you support.”
We encourage all supporters to help us in driving a welcoming and safe atmosphere at Carrow Road and ask you to continue to report any behaviour that violates the supporter charter.
