Norwich City forwards Jordan Hugill and Adam Idah were on hand to cut the ribbon at Holt Medical Practice to open a new wing at the facility on Tuesday.
The practice was opened in Holt in 2003 and has been upgraded to meet the requirements of a modern GP, with six additional consulting rooms, new admin offices and more.
“It’s nice to get down here, show our faces and celebrate the hard work that’s put in by everyone here,” Hugill said.
Prevention and keeping the local population healthy is the goal for the medical practice, rather than just reacting to ill health.
“It’s always nice to get out in the community and do a bit of work,” Hugill added. “These have been run off their feet with Covid, so after such a long time of not being able to do anything, it’s nice to get back out here and start supporting the community again.”
Hugill was speaking to canaries.co.uk following the end of his loan spell at Cardiff City, and said he’s excited to see what’s next now he’s back at Norwich.
“Ideally now I’ll just get my head down, get ready for pre-season and see where we go from there.
“I’m really looking forward to being back here and around the lads I left behind before, hopefully bringing the morale up again.
“I’ve not had a chance to meet the Norwich fans properly yet. It’s not been ideal what has happened this year but now we’ve got to get together and push to get promoted again next year.”
