Teemu Pukki got his goal scoring tally up and running for 2020/21 with Norwich City’s first equaliser against Preston North End on Saturday.
That, combined with his all round performance, saw the Finnish forward come first in an incredibly tight fan-voted Man of the Match award.
It was a close one.

Despite Adam Idah and Jordan Hugill both being substituted on, Pukki played the full 90 minutes of Saturday’s draw.
For a forward, it could be argued that having just two shots in one game is cause for criticism, but conversely, both of Pukki’s were on target, with the first one finding the back of the net.
His second shot came close to being the match-winner, had former Canary Declan Rudd not tipped over the bar in stoppage time.
But it was Teemu’s contributions to the build-up play that made him stand out, with 80 percent of his 20 passes finding their man and 100 percent of his tackles being made successfully.
Pukki also made four challenges for offensive aerials and one key pass, culminating in an overall rating of 7.4 on WhoScored.com.
