Norwich City Academy defender Alfie Doy spoke with Canaries TV after signing his first professional contract at the club.

"It's a dream come true to sign this," Doy said. "It's my first professional contract here, my boyhood club so it obviously means a lot more because of that. The hard work starts now.
"It feels amazing \[to represent the club\], my friends and family support this club so it means a lot to them as well, and it means a lot to me. I'm ready to try and get into the first team, then make an impact.
"I'm a hard-working and dedicated centre-back, I love a good challenge. I try to play out from the back and keep the ball for the team.
"Last season was a good one for me, a lot of learning curves. I had a first taste of Under-21s football, which is a good learning experience as well. That helps me get ready for this season. Big season this season.
"For me, I want to staple myself into the Under-21s team and improve as much as I can. Use what the coaches are telling me, and try and improve as much as I can this year."
