Daniel Grimshaw spoke to CanariesTV after completing his move to Norwich City from Plymouth Argyle.
Dan, congratulations on signing for the club. How excited are you to get started?
"I'm really excited, I've known of the interest for a little while and as soon as I heard about it, I knew it was a place I wanted to come. It's a big club with big ambitions and matched what I want to do."
We've just announced Liam Manning as head coach, someone you've worked with before in Belgium, what kind of relationship did you have with him?
"I worked with him in Belgium and it was a really good time. We were both away, I was away from my family for the first time and he helped me a lot with that. We've kept in touch since, so it's nice to come back together and it'll be good to work with him again."
What conversations did you have with Liam (Manning), Ben (Knapper) and Tony (Roberts) before joining?
"I spoke with Tony on the phone a few times and those conversations went really well. We know what areas we can improve on and what he sees me bringing to the club. It was really good to speak with him and it was a good conversation."
What aspects of your game do you think suit the style that Liam is trying to implement here?
"They're going to bring a style that suits my game. I'm a goalkeeper that likes to play out from the back and be comfortable with that. I'm there to make saves and that's what I'm looking forward to doing."
You've played at Carrow Road a couple of times. What are your experiences of those nights and your thoughts on the ground and the fans?
"The atmosphere both times I played here was amazing. The fans, I've heard a lot of good things about them. At that time, I was on the end of a big defeat. Hopefully, I'll have more victories now I'm here."
What are the plans for the rest of the summer?
"You've got to keep yourself fit and ready and we'll come back at the end of the month. We'll target and push as the season goes along."
What message would you give to the Norwich supporters?
"I think it's going to be a really big year for us. We know the ambitions, we want to push for the play-offs and for promotion. I'm here to give everything I have and hopefully we can do that together."
