Pelle Mattsson spoke to Canaries TV after making the switch to Norwich City from Danish Superliga side Silkeborg IF.
Pelle, welcome to Norwich City. Congratulations on signing. Give us your thoughts and feelings upon arriving here at Carrow Road?
"I'm really happy and proud of being a Norwich City player. I'm looking forward to it all, just really happy."
It's been a little bit of time coming. How excited are you now this has come to fruition and you are now a Norwich player?
"It's been some tough months. When I first heard of the interest from Norwich, I was proud. It's been a long time since the first interest and now we're finally here, I'm just ready to get going."
What have you seen of Norwich so far, and what have you heard from the team, the staff that has helped you make that decision?
"In Denmark, Norwich is a well-known club. It's a big club in England and I've known it since I was a little boy. They've been in the Premier League, now in Championship and will fight to get back into the Premier League. It's a really big club and a big opportunity for me."
We're a family club and we've seen you arrive here with your family today. How are they feeling as well?
"I can say that my mum, she cried. When we heard that it went through, I'm just so proud. My family are also very proud. This is a big opportunity for me and really happy."
Talk to us about the style of player you are?
"I'd say I'm quite a flexible player, I can play with the ball and play off the ball too. I like to play direct passes into the centre of the pitch, I also like to tackle and get the crowd going. I run a lot, use my energy and get the crowd going."
We've brought you here, to the upper tier, at Carrow Road. What are your impressions of the place?
"It's fantastic, just unbelievable. I can see the city in the background, the pitch, everything. It's unbelievable. Like I've said so many times, I'm just proud of being a Norwich City player. I can't wait to get going, stepping out onto that pitch and wearing the yellow jersey. I can't wait."
Have you had any conversations with any of the players here at Norwich?
"I've spoken with Mathias (Kvistgaarden) and Emiliano (Marcondes) at the training ground, I know there's a lot of Danish guys here. Hopefully we can have some good memories together, but I'm not here just to be friends with the Danish guys. I'm here to help the team and be friends with all the squad members. It's not just a Danish family, it is much more than that. I'm really looking forward to seeing all of the guys. I've spoken to a few players and staff, everyone has been very nice and kind."
Have you had your tour of the Avant Training Centre and the facilities there?
"We went on a tour with Ben (Knapper) and Lee (Dunn) and it was a good experience. The facilities are great and I can say there is a step up from where I come from in Denmark. Really looking forward to coming in every day and improving my attributes and the team's attributes."
You've told us what you're like on the pitch, what are you like off it?
"I'd say I'm quite an open guy, likes to show emotions. I would say I'm a kind guy, I like to speak with my team and staff members and everyone around the club. I'm really down to earth, I'm a Danish guy from Silkeborg. Nothing too crazy, but when I am on the pitch, I'm another person. I like to shout at everybody and work for the team."
What relationship did you make with the fans at your previous club and what can our fans expect from you?
"I would say, in Silkeborg, I had a good relationship with the fans. I was a guy from the town, someone from the youth academy. I built up some really good relationships there. I know I'm a new player here, but I hope to take this interaction with me with some new fans and a new club. I'm really living on the pitch with the fans, try to interact with them. The most important thing in football is the fans, they can help everybody here at the club."
Finally, what are your hopes for the season and what have the staff said they want you to achieve?
"The main goal, when I first spoke with Ben and Lee, was promotion to the Premier League. I know we have a big goal, but I like to make small steps. I want to settle into a new league, with a lot of intensity, and work hard. Together with my team-mates, we will see if we can win some games and see what it brings us."
