New recruit Sydney van Hooijdonk sat down with Canaries TV on his first day in an exclusive first interview at the Lotus Training Centre.
Speaking about his first few days in Norwich, van Hooijdonk said: "It's been a bit hectic, but it was alright flying in here, doing all the medicals and now finally everything is done, so I'm really happy.
"The training ground is amazing, the facilities are great.
"It has everything to perform and work hard. I've met almost all the guys, who are really nice, so it's been a warm welcome."
The 23-year-old centre-forward has spent most of his career in the Netherlands, playing for former and current Eredivisie sides NAC Breda and Heerenveen.
"I started football with the academy of my local club and then the first team, played there three seasons, then went to Bologna in Italy.
"I was just a young guy coming from a small team in Holland, so I wasn't going to play there \[straight away\], so they loaned me out to Heerenveen, a bigger team in the Eredivisie.
"I went there for a year and a half and I think I did quite well there and then went back to Bologna this last half of the season, it was a bit difficult, but I got some minutes, played some games, got some experience at a high level and now I'm here and ready to score my goals again."
Van Hooijdonk joins the Canaries on a loan deal until the end of the 2023/24 season, with an option to buy.
"My one and a half year loan at Heerenveen was fantastic for me, I became an Eredivisie player there and I think I played around 50 to 60 games and scored I think 30 goals, which was good for me and now I'm here.
"I'm looking for something a bit longer term, so hopefully this will be my new place and that's the goal for me and also for the club, that's the intention."
Described by European journalist Andy Brassell as a "fox in the box", van Hooijdonk will be hoping to find the net as often as possible at Carrow Road.
"My main quality is scoring goals; in the box I know where the net is and I know how to move, if the ball comes there I know what to do and I think that's what the fans can expect.
"I'm proud of my dad's name, he had a great career, also in England. In Holland, it's slightly more pressure because my Dad works for the television there, whereas in Italy there was nothing, in England maybe more people know him than in Italy, so most of the pressure is in Holland.
"Hopefully I meet you all Saturday, if everything is alright and I can't wait, I love this English football culture.
"I've been so many times to watch English games and Championship games, so I can't wait to be here and meet everyone and see the warm atmosphere. I'm ready."
