Norwich City midfielder Isaac Hayden spoke to CanariesTV after the defeat to Burnley on Tuesday night.
"The first 20 minutes wasn't good enough. The structure was all wrong, the press was all wrong. But we managed to solve that mid-way through the first half, and started to gain some control.
"We need to be better on the ball, we had decent possession at times in the second half and we didn't really create any clear cut chances in the final third which was disappointing.
"Overall, the lads were resolute. Defended really well, I don't think Angus Gunn really had a save to make. They didn't really have massive chances.
"Obviously the goal was disappointing. It's one of those performances where we look back at it and think we can do a lot better.
"It's been difficult, but that's the Championship. There's a lot of games in a quick turnaround. We know we have to be better in some situations. In the final third, we need more personality. We need to create more clear cut chances.
"Credit to Sam McCallum, he's only trained once or twice with the group and he's been thrust in there tonight in a tough game, and he's come away with 90 minutes. That's a credit to him and his physical preparation.
"And Jon Tomkinson at the back for his debut in the Championship, too. I thought he was excellent, it's not easy to come in at short notice, especially as a young lad. Credit to him tonight as well."
