Jack Reeve and Chris Reeve confirmed as Fans of the Season for 2020-21

Season ticket holders and co-hosts of the popular YouTube fan channel TalkNorwichCity (TNC), Chris and Jack have brought City fans together with their live ‘watchalongs’ of Norwich matches, most recently streaming for 24 hours across the weekend to raise more than £20,000 for Norfolk cancer charity Big C.

“We’ve been delighted that as well as raising tens of thousands of pounds for Big C this season, we’ve created a friendly community of Norwich City fans that have been able to follow the football in an alternate way,” Jack told canaries.co.uk.

“It’s been a difficult year for everyone but the football we’ve been lucky enough to witness has helped no end. I’d like to thank everyone who voted for us and a big well done to Diane Blazier and Liam Sayer as well, who’ve been brilliant with their work in the community also.”

Chris added that he and Jack have decided to give their hospitality seats to Diane and Liam, who were both nominated for the Fan of the Season award thanks to their outstanding fundraising efforts for the Community Sports Foundation.

“I’m so chuffed, and I can’t believe it,” he said. “Diane’s work has been incredible over a number of years. The wee man Liam, what he’s done, considering his condition, is unbelievable.

“I’ve followed the Michelle Dack Fan of the Season award closely since its inception and it’s a tremendous honour. Michelle was an absolutely incredible Norwich fan, so it’s very emotional and overwhelming for Jack and I.

“We just want to say thank-you so much to every single Norwich fan all over the world that decided to nominate and vote for us. We’re so proud that we raised all that money for Big C and that’s been our sole focus this season.

“Loneliness and mental health has been impacted as a consequence of the global pandemic, so we’re very content that we’ve done our bit to help the community.”

A selection of former Norwich City players participated in the channel’s most recent stream, Darren Huckerby, Bradley Johnson, Dean Ashton, Russell Martin and Grant Holt among them.

“As soon as a player puts on the yellow and green shirt, they feel affiliated,” Chris said. “As Ben Gibson said superbly on the All in Yellow podcast, he’s got a second family now. Players want to come on and talk about their time at Norwich because they love it, the county and the fans.

“The fans love them and it’s like a mutual respect and admiration. I don’t think you get that special connection at any other club.

“Ben Gibson, Oliver Skipp, Adam Idah, Todd Cantwell, Jordan Hugill, Aston Oxborough, Russell Martin and Elliott Bennett all donated financially which we never expected. Bryan Gunn donated his personal winner’s medal. It shows how much the players care about our community, not just the club.

“They went out of their way to donate and it says a lot about who they are as humans, not just footballers.”
