After his impressive start to the season, Jonathan Rowe has been awarded the EFL’s Young Player of the Month for August.
Rowe scored in each four of Norwich's league fixtures during the month, netting against Hull City, Southampton, Millwall and Huddersfield Town.
He marked his first start as a Norwich player with the equaliser on the opening day of the season against Hull, with Adam Idah's late strike clinching all three points.
The following week, Rowe followed it up with a header in the 4-4 draw against Southampton, before curling in against Millwall at Carrow Road in the third fixture of the season.
Rowe added his fourth goal of the month in the Canaries' 4-0 win away at Huddersfield, finishing from Idah's cross.
The 20-year-old is the fifth Norwich player to win the award. Previous Canary winners are Chris Martin in August 2010, James Maddison in January 2018, Jamal Lewis in September 2018 and Max Aarons in November 2020.
This award completes an impressive month for Rowe, where he was also named as the Anglian Home Improvements Player of the Month, as well as winning the club's goal of the month.
