Norwich City forward Josh Sargent was in high spirits following Tuesday night’s 6-0 win at home to AFC Bournemouth, after he scored a brace at Carrow Road!
“It was alright! Never a bad thing to get a couple of goals and the team performed very well and the fans were amazing so it was a good night,” he told canaries.co.uk
Sargent has settled into Norfolk life quickly with the help of his new teammates, Milot Rashica and Christos Tzolis, the latter also scoring a brace against Bournemouth.
“From the very start, Milot has obviously helped me come into the team very quickly but it wasn’t hard with all the guys because they all have good character,” he said.
“From the first day Christos got here as well, we’ve been pretty close to each other so hopefully we can take that into the next games and see what we can do.”
“It was definitely a good response from the team [to Saturday’s defeat. We’re hoping to take this momentum into the next game against Leicester and bag a few more goals.”
Norwich fans have taken a liking to Sargent quickly as well, and the forward is loving playing in front of the Carrow Road faithful!
“It’s amazing here and the fans chanting ‘USA USA!’ always gets me smiling, so it’s been good so far,” he said.
“It’s been a crazy start with Man City and Liverpool, but I’m looking forward to the next games, hopefully I can get some more minutes and score a few goals.
“I could tell even in training that [the Premier League] is very fast-paced on the field. You have to think very quickly, but it’s been a good challenge so far and hopefully it will keep making me better.”
