Norwich City Women are delighted to announce the signing of Holly Kennard from Division One South East Side AFC Sudbury Women.

Kennard was part of the 2022/23 promotion-winning side and has since made seven appearances for the Suds this season, scoring twice.

The 18-year-old was also voted for as the Opposition Player of the match by the Canaries, in Norwich City's dramatic 2-1 win over Sudbury in the first game of the season.

She picked up the same award in five of her other six fixtures for the club.

The winger, who will don the number 32 shirt, said upon signing: "It's a really good feeling, my family are very happy. My grandad is a Norwich supporter, so he was really pleased.

"I thought this would be a huge opportunity to miss out on \[if I didn't take it\] because Norwich is such a big club. Coming here last week, I could see the facilities were so good and everyone I've spoken to has been really welcoming."

Flo Allen, general manager at Norwich City Women, said: "We are all delighted to be welcoming Holly into our environment. She is a great character, an exciting talent and a player who we have tracked for a while.

"Under expert coaching and guidance from Martin Herdman, we hope Holly will play a big part in our future.

"Firstly, she will spend a period of time with Gillian Jenkins (physiotherapist) and William Davies (physical performance coach), as she recovers from an injury sustained prior to joining the club."
