Kenny McLean played another full 90 minutes today in the first of the two back to back pre-season fixtures in Scotland.
The City midfielder was hopeful about the performance and preparation going into today, despite the 2-0 loss at Celtic Park.
“Of course, we want to win every pre-season. It didn’t quite feel like proper pre-season, it felt more than that today with the atmosphere and the intensity that both teams played at.
“It's the week before the season starts, so there’s positions to play for. I think at this stage everybody should have their fitness. We’ve been back for five weeks now or so, so the fitness should be there.
“Celtic Park has always been a venue that I’m sure everybody enjoys to come to, with a good atmosphere. They’re a very good team and we knew that because we’d prepared like we would for Cardiff.”
The away end in Glasgow was noticeably loud with a large selection of travelling supporters, despite the long trip up north.
“I know how long the journey is from Norwich to here, it’s not easy, I’ll tell you. The fans today are so appreciated, coming all the way up north here.
"Hopefully they saw bits there that they can be optimistic about and be excited about for the season and hopefully we can have a successful campaign.”
