Norwich City Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former striker Laurie Sheffield (pictured in the centre).
Laurie joined the Canaries in November 1966 from Doncaster Rovera and made 27 appearances all league and cup in his stint at the club, scoring 16 goals, before leaving a year later to join Rotherham United.
A prolific striker throughout his career, Sheffield scored a hat-trick on his debut for the Canaries against Derby County.
