Scott Parker’s side are second in the league, nine points behind Fulham and two ahead of Huddersfield Town, with two games in hand on the Terriers.
They beat Barnsley 2-1 at home on Friday night, Danel Sinani whipping in a corner kick for Jordan Rhodes to head in early in the first half.

Three points ahead of Nottingham Forest, Huddersfield have now secured their place in the play-offs.
However, tenth-placed Queens Park Rangers’ play-off hopes came to an end with a 1-0 defeat away to Stoke City, which Sam McCallum played 90 minutes of on Saturday.
Towards the foot of the table, Onel Hernandez played 90 minutes of Birmingham City’s 2-2 draw at home to Millwall to go 20th, three points behind Cardiff City.

They lost 1-0 away to Sheffield United on Saturday, Jordan Hugill playing 90 minutes of that game.
In Scotland, Sebastian Soto came on in the 86th minute of Livingston’s 2-1 win at Aberdeen on Saturday. Livingston are second in the Scottish Premiership Group B, level on points with Hibernian.

Carlisle United have been assured Sky Bet League Two safety despite Saturday’s 3-0 loss away to Harrogate Town, which Tyrese Omotoye came on in the 50th minute of.
Last but not least, the season came to a conclusion for Sam Blair and Bury Town, who finished the Isthmian League North Division in 12th place following Saturday’s 5-2 loss away to Heybridge Swifts.
