Loan round-up: City trio in Championship action

Hernandez came on in the 77th minute for Chris Wilder's side, who had been beaten 2-1 at home to Preston North End the Tuesday prior. Hernandez came on in the 53rd minute of that game.

Middlesbrough are now 12th in the Sky Bet Championship, two points behind Huddersfield, who suffered back-to-back defeats last week.

They lost 1-0 away to Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday before the game against Middlesbrough, Danel Sinani playing all of both matches.

It's a barren spell in front of goal for West Bromwich Albion, who had goalless draws against Blackpool and Nottingham Forest last week.

Jordan Hugill came on in the second half of both games, the Baggies now third in the league and nine points behind leaders Fulham.

Overseas, Josip Drmic scored in the 70th minute of HNK Rijeka's 2-1 win away to Slaven Belupo on Saturday, a result which saw the former go second in the 1. HNL, one point behind NK Osijek.

Back in the Football League, Akin Famewo played all of Charlton Athletic's double header as they drew 2-2 away to Morecambe and lost 1-0 away to Shrewsbury Town.

The Addicks are now 15th in League One, six places above Gillingham, who lost 2-0 at home to Cheltenham Town and 1-0 at home to Portsmouth last week.

Daniel Adshead played two hours and a half across those fixtures.

In League Two, there was a cameo appearance for Tyrese Omotoye at Leyton Orient. He came on in the 93rd minute of their 1-0 loss at Northampton Town. Leyton Orient are now eighth in the league.

Barnet beat Woking 2-1 on Saturday, Aston Oxborough playing the full 90 minutes as Barnet rose to 15th in the Vanarama National League.

Lastly, Reece McAlear was part of the Inverness Caledonian Thistle side to force a replay with Greenock Morton following a 1-1 draw on Saturday in the third round of the Scottish Cup.
