Loan round up: Danel Sinani helps Huddersfield Town to thumping win over Reading

Danel Sinani was given his first league start for Huddersfield Town on Saturday as the Terriers thrashed Reading to go fourth in the Championship.

He was just one of 14 players from Norwich City, currently out on loan, who got minutes over the weekend with some impressive results.

Sinani didn't score in the match, but starting up front, alongside Josh Koroma and Danny Ward, he was a threat throughout the match hitting the post with a wonderfully flighted free kick and having another effort on target saved before departing after 62 minutes, to be replaced defender Ollie Turton with the score at 2-0.

Josip Drmić netted in the first half of HNK Rijeka's 2-1 victory over Hajduk Split as he finished off a counter attack superbly by cutting the ball back on to his right foot and sending a shot into the bottom corner. The win lifted Rijeka above Split in the table and they are now level on points with league leaders Dinamo Zagreb.

There was a first league start for Sam McCallum at QPR as he faced Coventry City, the side that he was on loan at last season. McAllum performed well hitting one effort on target as Rangers won the match 2-0.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Jordan Hugill had an impressive debut for West Bromwich Albion at Peteborough. He came off the bench after 57 minutes to power a header at goal that former Exeter City shot stopper Christy Pym did well to stop. And with the scores still at 0-0 he helped his team push forward and grab a late winner through Semi Ajayi. The result keeper the Baggies second in the table.

It was 2-0 at The Valley, where Akin Famewo eased the early season pressure with a strong defensive performance in the win over Crewe Alexandra. It was Charlton's first victory of the season and lifted them out of the Sky Bet League One relegation zone.

It was also 2-0 at Stadium MK, but Josh Martin only appeared as a 90th minute substitute in the Dons victory over Accrington Stanley.

Gassan Ahadme also came on as a late subtitute in Portsmouth's 1-0 defeat away at Wigan. His introduction with six minutes of normal time remaining couldn't prevent Danny Cowley's side from falling to their first defeat of the campaign.

Daniel Adshead did start Gillingham's League One encounter at Shrewsbury Town. However, he was substituted after 54 minutes with the Gills leading 1-0. The result then turned as the Shrews hit back twice to take all three points, dropping Steve Evans' side to 16th in the table.

In Sky Bet League Two, Tyrese Omotoye played 13 minutes of Leyton Orient's 2-0 win over Bradford City, while in the Conference Matthew Dennis came on to the pitch as a 64th-minute substite in Southend United's 1-0 loss to Stockport County.

Sam Blair helped Bury Town to their first win of the season as he played the full 90 minutes in goal in their 3-2 victory over Hillside Sports.

In Portugal, Sebastain Soto played 79 minutes for Porto B as they beat Sporting Clube da Covilhã 2-1 and Ìsak Thorvaldsson played the full 90 of ÌA Akranes' 3-0 defeat to KA Akuyeri.

Players who were part of their matchday squad put didn't play: Dan Barden (Livingston), Reece McAlear (Iverness Caledonian Thistle)
