Loan round-up: Drmić into Croatian Cup final

It was a case of mixed emotions last week though, as Rijeka then suffered a shock defeat to NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac, who are bottom of the 1. HNL. Rijeka are now third, two points behind Dinamo Zagreb and Osijek.

In the Emirates FA Cup, Danel Sinani registered another assist from a corner kick as Huddersfield Town were knocked out in the fifth round by Nottingham Forest on Monday night.

He then played 78 minutes as Huddersfield drew 2-2 at West Bromwich Albion on Friday to extend their unbeaten league run to 17 games. The Terriers are third in the division, two points behind AFC Bournemouth.

Speaking of Bournemouth, they took four points from six last week in games against Peterborough United and Derby County.

Todd Cantwell played just over an hour-and-a-half across the double header, and the Cherries are now second in the league, 12 points behind Fulham with two games in hand.

In the bottom half, Cardiff City drew 0-0 at home to Preston North End on Saturday and are 17th in the league. Jordan Hugill played 90 minutes and had a winning goal ruled out in injury time.

Birmingham City are two places and two points below following their 0-0 draw at home to Hull City, which Onel Hernandez featured in.

At the foot of the table, Peterborough United drew 2-2 at home to Stoke City on the weekend. Bali Mumba came on in the 71st minute and the Posh are now 15 points from safety.

In Sky Bet League One, Josh Martin played 90 minutes as Doncaster Rovers lost 1-0 at home to Gillingham on Saturday.

Doncaster are 23rd in League One, two places and four points behind Gillingham, who are level on points with AFC Wimbledon and Fleetwood Town above them.
