Norwich City loanee Akin Famewo scored the first goal of his senior career, a winning goal no less, as Charlton Athletic beat AFC Wimbledon 3-2 at The Valley on Saturday.

Combined with Monday’s 2-1 win at Portsmouth, which Famewo also played 90 minutes in, the Addicks are now 11th in League One and unbeaten in the last four games.

Lower down the league, Josh Martin registered an impressive assist for Doncaster Rovers as they claimed a precious 2-1 win at Sunderland on Saturday.

Gary McSheffrey’s side remain bottom of the division but are level on points with Gillingham and Crewe Alexandra.

As for Gillingham, they lost 1-0 at Ipswich Town on Saturday, Tom Dickson-Peters coming on in the 79th minute of that game.

Matthew Dennis continued his fine run of form for Southend United, scoring both goals in Tuesday’s 2-1 win at home to Barnet to win man of the match.

The brace took Dennis up to six goals in his last seven games, putting Southend 15th in the Vanarama National League.

Aston Oxborough was in goal for Barnet in that game, as well as for Saturday’s 3-1 win at Aldershot Town. The Bees are 17th, two points behind Southend.

In the FA Cup, Peterborough United have been drawn at home to Manchester City in the fifth round following Saturday’s 2-0 win at home to Queens Park Rangers.

On Sunday night, Todd Cantwell made his debut as a half-time substitute for AFC Bournemouth, who suffered a shock defeat at home to Boreham Wood in the FA Cup’s fourth round.

It was a positive week for Huddersfield Town, who beat Derby County 2-0 at home on Wednesday in the Sky Bet Championship as well as Barnsley 1-0 at home in the FA Cup.

Danel Sinani played 150 minutes across the two fixtures. The Terriers are now fifth in the league, within five points of Blackburn Rovers in second and ten behind Fulham in first.

In the FA Cup, they’ve been drawn away to Nottingham Forest for the fifth round.

Jordan Hugill played 90 minutes of Cardiff City’s 1-0 win at Barnsley on Wednesday to go 20th in the Championship, seven points clear of the relegation zone.

He also came on in the 58th minute of Sunday’s 3-1 loss at Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Four points ahead of Cardiff are Birmingham City, who are 18th following Saturday’s 2-1 loss at home to Sheffield United, which Onel Hernandez played 83 minutes in.

In Scotland, Rocky Bushiri kept a clean sheet as Hibernian drew 0-0 at home to Heart of Midlothian in the Edinburgh Derby.

He also played 90 minutes of Saturday’s 1-0 loss at home to St. Mirren. Hibernian are now fifth in the Scottish Premiership.

One tier below, Inverness Caledonian Thistle are third in the Scottish Championship, two points shy of Kilmarnock and six behind Arbroath after Saturday’s 1-0 loss at home to Greenock Morton, which Reece McAlear played 90 minutes in.

Finally, Josip Drmic played 88 minutes of HNK Rijeka’s 3-2 win at home to NK Lokomotiva on Saturday. Rijeka are now third in the 1. HNL, level with NK Osijek and three points behind Dinamo Zagreb.
