The Cuban also won Man of the Match after featuring for 84 minutes, having played 82 minutes of Tuesday’s 6-2 loss at Fulham.

Josh Martin played 83 minutes in both matches, hitting the crossbar on his debut against Cambridge and getting an assist against his former loan side MK Dons. Doncaster are 23rd in League One.

There was also a double-header for Tyrese Omotoye at Carlisle United, who drew 0-0 at home to Hartlepool United and lost 3-0 at Forest Green Rovers last week to go 20th in League Two.

In Scotland, Rocky Bushiri made his Hibernian debut at Celtic Park, as Celtic won 2-0 in the Scottish Premiership. Hibs are now fifth in the division.

One tier down, Reece McAlear registered an assist for the opening goal in Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s 1-1 draw at Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday.

ICT are second in the Scottish Championship, three points behind Arbroath.

Matthew Dennis was on the scoresheet again for Southend United, playing 78 minutes and netting the equaliser to win Man of the Match in Friday’s 2-1 win at home to King’s Lynn Town.

Dennis’ goals of late have helped Southend climb to 18th in the Vanarama National League.

Bury Town drew 2-2 at Hullbridge Sports and lost 2-0 away to Coggeshall Town to go 11th in the Isthmian League North Division last week, with Sam Blair playing both matches.
