Hills, and fellow Norwich City loanee Lewis Shipley, featured in the League Two clash, both helping Stanley to a win and clean sheet.

An assist and goal-line clearance at vital moments saw Hills named's the man of the match in the win, and a good start to the League Two stay for the Canaries duo.

In League One, Abu Kamara made his first appearance for Portsmouth in their 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers.

The young striker was introduced from the bench with 25 minutes remaining, and played an integral part in the build-up to their late equaliser.

In Scotland, Jon McCracken featured between the sticks for Dundee in the Scottish Premier League, playing the full 90 in a 1-1 draw with Motherwell.

His fellow goalkeepers Archie Mair and Dylan Berry were also in action, for Gateshead and Havant and Waterlooville respectively.

Mair and Gateshead started their National League campaign with a 2-2 draw against Boreham Wood while Berry impressed for the Hawks as they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against Weston-Super-Mare.
