He also played 90 minutes of Saturday’s 2-2 draw at AFC Wimbledon, which saw Gary McSheffrey’s side end the weekend 23rd in Sky Bet League One, four points from safety.

Also on the scoresheet was Josip Drmic, who got the opening goal of HNK Rijeka’s 3-1 win at Hajduk Split to go two points and one place ahead of them in the 1. HNL. Rijeka are now third, three points behind league leaders NK Osijek.

Five Norwich loanees were in Sky Bet Championship action last week. AFC Bournemouth are second and nine points behind Fulham with two games in hand following Saturday’s 2-1 win at home to Stoke City, which Todd Cantwell featured in for the Cherries.

Huddersfield Town are two points below Bournemouth, having played four more games. Danel Sinani played 57 minutes of their 2-1 win at home to Cardiff City on Wednesday before coming on in the 77th minute of Saturday’s 2-0 win at Birmingham City.

The Terriers have now extended their unbeaten run to 17 games.

Jordan Hugill was involved for Cardiff against Huddersfield, playing 82 minutes of that game. The Bluebirds are 20th, seven points above the drop zone.

Birmingham City are one point and one position above Cardiff after Tuesday’s 2-1 loss at Reading and Saturday’s defeat to Huddersfield. Onel Hernandez played all of both matches.

Sam McCallum made his long-awaited return from injury in the 67th minute of Queens Park Rangers’ 1-0 loss at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. QPR are fifth in the league, one point and one position behind Blackburn.

In Scotland, Rocky Bushiri was part of the Hibernian defence to keep a clean sheet against Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic in Sunday’s 0-0 draw. Hibs are fourth in the league.

Livingston are seventh but only one point behind Hibernian after Saturday’s 4-0 win at Dundee, which Sebastian Soto came on in the 72nd minute of.

In the Scottish Championship, Inverness Caledonian Thistle drew 1-1 away to Hamilton Academical on Friday and Reece McAlear played 90 minutes of that game. ICT are third, seven points behind Arbroath and Kilmarnock.

Returning to the Football League, there were back-to-back defeats for Charlton Athletic last week as they lost 2-0 to Milton Keynes Dons and Sheffield Wednesday. Akin Famewo played both games as the Addicks fell to 16th in Sky Bet League One.

One tier down, Tyrese Omotoye came on in the 77th minute of Carlisle United’s 1-0 win at Leyton Orient on Saturday. The Blues are 22nd in Sky Bet League Two, one point from safety.

In the Vanarama National League, Aston Oxborough kept a clean sheet for Barnet in their 0-0 draw at home to King’s Lynn Town on Tuesday, before playing in Saturday’s 1-0 loss at FC Halifax Town. The Bees are 19th in the division.

Southend United are 12th thanks to 1-1 draws against Eastleigh and Solihull Moors last week. Matthew Dennis came on in the 83rd minute of the former and played 81 minutes of the latter.
