The goalkeeper denied Walsall's Isaac Hutchinson from the spot, as Rovers claimed a vital three points in their battle against relegation from Sky Bet League Two.
Emmanuel Adegboyega was on the losing side at The New Lawn, playing 90 minutes for Walsall.
Also in League Two, Jon Tomkinson and Bradford City were 3-0 winners over Accrington Stanley. Neither Brad Hills or Lewis Shipley featured for Stanley.
Archie Mair was on the losing side with Morecambe, as they were beaten 3-1 by Wrexham.

Northampton Town drew 1-1 away to Cambridge United, with Tony Springett coming off the bench for the Cobblers.
In Scotland, Jon McCracken started for Dundee as they drew 2-2 at home to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League.
Christos Tzolis netted in Fortuna Düsseldorf's 2-0 win over Hamburg in the 2.Bundesliga. The Greek international has 14 league goals so far this season.
