The Reds beat Glenavon 3-0 at Solitude in their season opener with the left-back bagging a goal and assist on his debut.

He was also named in the league's official team of the week for his performance.

In League Two, Brad Hills played the full 90 again for Accrington Stanley in their 1-0 defeat to Gillingham. Fellow Norwich City loanee Lewis Shipley didn't feature as he recovers from injury.

Abu Kamara played 45 minutes for Portsmouth in their 4-0 win over Leyton Orient in League One while Christos Tzolis scored his first goal for Fortuna Düsseldorf in their 3-1 cup win over fourth tier side Illertissen.

In the goalkeeping department, Archie Mair played the full game in Gateshead's 2-1 defeat to Hartlepool while Dylan Berry was in goal for Havant and Waterlooville's 4-2 defeat to Chippenham Town.

Further north, Jon McCracken was an unused substitute in Dundee's 2-1 defeat at St Mirren.
