The Cuban winger came on in the 63rd minute of Wednesday’s 3-1 loss at AFC Bournemouth, pulling one back for the Blues in the 69th minute.

He then played 90 minutes and scored the final goal of Saturday’s convincing 3-0 win at home to Luton Town to go 18th in the Sky Bet Championship.

Todd Cantwell also featured in Wednesday’s match, playing an hour on his full debut for AFC Bournemouth.

On Saturday, he played all of the Cherries’ 2-1 win at Blackpool, Bournemouth coming from 1-0 down in the 86th minute to turn the game around and remain second in the Championship.

Scott Parker’s side are now six points behind Fulham and five clear of Blackburn Rovers, who are in third.

Jordan Hugill netted the third goal of Cardiff City’s 4-0 win at home to Peterborough United on Wednesday before playing 74 minutes of Saturday’s 2-1 loss at Millwall.

The Bluebirds are 20th in the Championship, ten points clear of the relegation zone.

Also involved in Wednesday’s match was Bali Mumba, who played the full 90 minutes for Peterborough. He also came on in the 61st minute of their 1-0 loss at home to Preston North End on Saturday.

The Posh are now 22nd in the division.

Back in the play-offs, Huddersfield Town are fifth on 50 points following back-to-back 0-0 draws against Preston and Sheffield United last week.

Danel Sinani played just over 80 minutes across the two fixtures, the Terriers extending their unbeaten run to 14 games.

In Scotland, Hibernian were beaten 2-0 at Rangers on Wednesday to go seventh in the Scottish Premiership. Rocky Bushiri played all of that game as well as Sunday’s 3-1 win away to Arbroath in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

Meanwhile in the Scottish Championship, Inverness Caledonian Thistle drew 3-3 at home to Partick Thistle on Wednesday, Reece McAlear getting an assist with a corner kick for ICT’s second goal. They’re now third in the division, six points off the top.

Matthew Dennis continued his impressive form with the opening goal of Southend United’s 2-0 win at home to Bromley on Tuesday, his seventh goal in nine appearances.

Southend are 12th in the Vanarama National League.

Gillingham beat Cambridge United late on with a 1-0 win at home on Tuesday, Tom Dickson-Peters coming on in the 63rd minute of that game.

The Norwich City Academy product then made his first start for the club in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Morecambe. Southend are now five points from safety, 22nd in League One.

Academy graduates Akin Famewo and Josh Martin were also in League One action. The former played 90 minutes of Charlton Athletic’s 2-1 defeat at Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Martin was part of the Doncaster Rovers side to lose 1-0 at home to Ipswich Town and 4-0 away to Portsmouth last week.

Charlton are 14th in League One, while Doncaster remain bottom on 22 points.

One tier down, Carlisle United are 22nd in League Two, three points from safety following Tuesday’s 3-1 loss at home to Port Vale. Tyrese Omotoye got an assist for his side’s goal.

In Croatia, Josip Drmic played all of HNK Rijeka’s 1-0 loss at NK Osijek on Sunday. Rijeka are fourth in the 1. HNL, six points off the top.

Lastly, it was a disappointing week for Barnet, who are 19th in the National League after 6-1 and 3-1 defeats against Notts County and Wealdstone respectively. Aston Oxborough played both fixtures for the Bees.
